Why Even Bother

One Norwegian - over 20 different characters!

"If you've lived through your twenties or are on your way, you will resonate with this techno-emotional cocktail. It's a tour de force that will leave you with tears in your eyes and a huge appreciation for Gunby's creative talent."  - Colorado Pam

In this dark, audio-heavy, one-man comedy, we get a glimpse into the world of Main Character’ and the everyday struggles of his ’normal’ life. This performance focus on what it’s like being a young foreigner in London, and how to keep going when life keeps kicking you in the balls.

Even the best of us will end up asking ’Why even bother?’ when faced with ‘Co-worker’ and his collection of cat pictures, or when ’Flatmate’ greets you with:

“We’re out of food. I’ll be in my room watching Amish MILF porn.”

In this hilarious piece of new writing we explore the extraordinary mediocrity of life through sound and voiceover. The quick, episodic nature of this show mirrors a generation that prefers to share their highs and lows through TikToks. Probably unlike anything you’ve ever seen!

"Det var mange dagligdagse tanker som vi fikk innblikk i, det at alle kunne relatere og det at han hadde såpass selvironi gjorde det veldig morsomt."
